It is rare, exceptionally so, that I would agree with David Beckham. However, he made an extremely good point recently - that it seems to be specifically the UK which has this rare breed of envy where they take someone, build them up and make them a star and celebrity, and then do everything they can to knock them down again.
Then, as he said, once you're down you have to dig your way back up again and if you manage it, just for a short time they love you for it. And then they try to kick your butt all the way back down again.
Goddess knows, I love this country despite the many glaring faults, but this is one thing I really dislike about it and it does seem very much unique to the UK, or purrhaps more specifically our wretched journalists.
(I have a deep hatred of journalists btw. Their calls for the internet to be banned back in the mid 90s were the most astounding examples of hypocrisy I'd seen in a long time. The endless claims that it causes people to "turn into an almost zombie like state, staring vacantly at a screen and not even bothering to wash." Ummm, right. Of course we can't all aspire to live the wonderfully productive clean living drugfree and brutally honest lifestyles of the average journo can we...)
Oh, and the Bully game is going ahead. Despite everything that steaming pile of shit is going ahead. Too much to hope there might be a Rockstar Games boycott. Hahahaha. Yeah right, that game will sell hundreds of thousands. Just wait till the chavs get ahold of it...

Re: Inter Zombies!
Thanks. I had to do a paper ages ago at college about the internet, entitled "Danger or blessing." And during all the research, it was amazing some of the utter crap that was turned up. Complaints for example about how there is info on the net on making bombs and how terrible it is. Okay, it IS bad, but as someone pointed out, the very same info is available for free at some of the US libraries.... (apparentley)July 28 2005, 15:35:42 UTC 6 years ago
But I can see no such redeeming qualities to this game. But maybe that's because it's very personal to me, having been bullied for most of my school life except for the last three years, so all this game would do is bring back painful memories.
